We learned about Olive's Fresh Pizza Bar after they opened a second location in Edina, MN. The original location is in Excelsior, but we traveled to Edina to experience their wood-fired pizzas. Olive's Fresh has a variety of sauces to choose from, including red, white, and oil based sauces. We picked four of their creations to see what our groups' palate reveals

The Italian Farmer
Toppings: Garlic and Olive Oil Base, Roasted Garlic Parmesan Chicken, Shredded Mozzarella, Zucchini, Mushroom, Red Onion, Sweet Pepper, Signature Farmer’s Sauce, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Garnished with Fresh Italian Parsley, and Shaved Parmesan
Highlights: well prepared vegetables, great presentation and aroma
Lowlights: a little bland, and chicken is underwhelming
Fresno
Toppings: Garlic and Olive Oil Base, Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, Sliced Fig, Red Onion, Gorgonzola Cheese, Prosciutto, Garnished with Gourmet Greens, Aged Balsamic Glaze, Fresh Sliced Pear, and Shaved Parmesan
Highlights: the balsamic glaze is great
Lowlights: toppings are poorly distributed and don't stay on
Chevrenth Heaven
Toppings: Red Sauce, Goat Cheese, Sweet Onion, Crushed Italian Seasoned Tomato, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Fresh Basil
Highlights: the red sauce has great flavor
Lowlights: messy to handle and eat, average taste as nothing properly compliments nor balances the sauce
The Hot Toddy
Toppings: Olive’s Yum Yum Sauce Base (Signature Garlic Parmesan Farmer’s Sauce blended with Margherita Sauce), Fontina Cheese, Cup and Char Pepperoni. Garnished with Arugula and Hot Honey Drizzle
Highlights: great texture and presentation
Lowlights: can get your hands greasy and sticky with the amount of oil and honey on the pizza
