Expanded from their original location in Burnsville, Bricksworth Beer Co now operates a second location in North Loop, which we visited. Bricksworth serves up Detroit-style pizzas, one of the bigger trends in pizza today. So we review our third Detroit-style pizza restaurant in the Twin Cities

Aloha Friday

Highlights: great handling like a true Detroit-style pizza, great texture, pineapple flavor is well blended

Lowlights: uneven sauce distribution leads to inconsistently flavored bites, and sauce is piled high which spreads onto your nose during bites

Highlights: great handling like a true Detroit-style pizza, toppings are full of flavor

Lowlights: flavorful toppings are not well balanced; uneven sauce distribution leads to inconsistently flavored bites, and sauce is piled high which spreads onto your nose during bites

The Telltale Moozadell

Highlights: excellent presentation, great handling, flavorful toppings including the balsamic drizzle

Lowlights: too much bread to toppings ratio, so the pizza is very dry and dense

The Godfather Part II

Highlights: excellent handling, good texture

Lowlights: lackluster taste, partly because of unbalanced ingredients
